About us

We are a creative gallery and artspace, championing affordable art work and proud to be celebrating our 10th year in the Edinburgh art scene (well done us!).

We provide a small but perfectly formed exhibition artspace for emerging and established artists who demonstrate natural talent, ambition and show the same passion that we have for new and exciting artwork. Most of our artists are Scottish or from the UK and we can pretty much guarantee that our artwork and design led products are not mass produced, but lovingly made by genuinely inspirational, quirky, witty, artistic and creative individuals.

Nicola Brooks (our Gallery Manager) is our creative heartbeat – she has immersed herself in the local Edinburgh art scene for many years with an instinctive nose for the next big thing.  She always pushes herself with new art projects, exhibitions and constantly renews the face of the gallery with ever imaginative and frequently changing wall and window displays.

Our gallery team also includes the wonderful Lindsey, Ashley and Claire, all practising artists /designers in their own right – you will shortly see some of their fantastic work on our new website (watch this space!)

To our customers, we owe to them our continued success (thank you) and we strive to be welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. Most of our artwork is quite affordable and our customers range from avid collectors to casual art browsers.

Online shop to buy art

With the success of our ‘bricks and mortar’ shop in Edinburgh, it seemed such a natural progression to open our virtual doors by having an ‘online shop’.  We sell contemporary artwork from predominantly British artists (from digital prints, screenprints to originals), artists books, badges, cards, jewellery and all the bits in between on our online store. This is an exciting ongoing project with no physical boundaries and we are constantly excited to meet new Red Door Gallery customers from around the globe.

We have recently upgraded The Red Door Gallery on-line store (September 2012) and for those of you who cannot come to see us in person you can happily shop till your hearts content. We are even finding that our Edinburgh customers are now choosing to shop  online and then picking up their goodies in store!

We are so pleased to share with you and ship our lovely art prints, precious jewels and unique handmade gifts around the world – we promise to keep our on-line shop fresh, vibrant and to offer as many of our goodies as possible.
