With the launch of Susie Wright’s Here and There Exhibition last night, it seemed only right to feature her beautiful collection of works in this weeks #fridayfavourites.
The exhibition features beautiful differing skylines of Edinburgh, her favourite feathered friend and the beautiful flora and fauna she discovered on her year out in Australia in 2014.
Susie joined us early in the week to paint an intricate leafy window. Check out Nicky’s blog from Thursday to see her in action.
We thought it best to start this week’s collection with our very own Victoria Street. This has been a popular print by Susie with both locals and tourists wishing to remember their favourite street, on their trip to Edinburgh 🙂 (We have some pretty good company here on the street!)
New view up Victoria Street for the exhibition
Mineral Stag has been Susie’s biggest stand out piece to date in the gallery. A beautiful 14 colour screen print. she has since added a beautiful smaller A3 version.
Beautiful details, each representing scottish mountains and lakes.
We’re excited to share with you a snippet of her new pieces from the exhibition,
Pink Owl is a two colour screen print featuring neon pink details (got our eye on this one!)
New Eagle Owl peering out the corner of the paper, a new edition of the popular two colour screen print eagle owl. now with some neon pink eyes!
Flamingo has been a popular print by Susie. The A4 version is a beautiful pale coral colour. She’s super sized it for the exhibition and it’s in a cool neon pink.
Looks amazing in a black frame
Castle Fountain is a new colourful view of the stunning Edinburgh Castle, We never tire of the view of the iconic building. This new Screen Print features striking blues; and yellow to highlight the ‘Ross Fountain’ in Princes Street gardens.
This is just a small collection of the beautiful new works by Susie Wright. The rest of the collection can be seen online or if you’re in the area it’s a must to stop by and see them in all their glory.
Susie has also produced a range of ceramics for her exhibition. We can’t get enough of her army of cute ceramic owls!
Have a great weekend everyone and if you get the chance, do pop in to see the exhibition.
Happy Weekend! 🙂
