Description

‘Voyages Over Edinburgh’ illustrates a day, way back in the late 1700’s when Edinburgh’s sky was filled with hot air balloons for the very first time.  This tale caught illustrator, David Fleck’s imagination as it must have been a pretty magical and inspirational sight for most the capital’s residents.  The view, looking down over The Red Door Gallery’s own Victoria Street has changed little in the intervening years, giving this elegant print the power to meander your mind  through the years, to a time when this bustling city ground to a halt, as everyone was busy looking up.. .

A3 open edition digital print on 160 gsm satin paper.

David Fleck had his first solo exhibition “Our Ancestors” here in The Red Door Gallery in April 2012.  For more information and to see his folio of works, click here.
