Gemma Correll

Gemma Correll is an established and adored illustrator whose flourishing career started in Norwich (England) where she studied a BA (hons) degree in Graphic Design, specialising in Illustration. Gemma’s process involves scanning her original drawings then, adding just a wee dash of Photoshop, not too much though as her style is all about celebrating life’s little mistakes!

I recent years, Gemma has achieved household name status, though when asked about her work she says: “I hire a five year old to do all my work for me. I pay him in fudge. His name is Alan.” Her favourite colour is turquoise, her favourite word is Albuquerque and her collection is just great for folks who like a giggle.

if you’d like to hear more about Gemma’s early career, and her long relationship with The Red Door, have a peep at this blog interview we did with her way back in 2008:
