UK Postage All UK deliveries are charged at a flat rate of £4.95 using Royal Mail ‘Tracked 48 Service’ (see https://www.royalmail.com/sending/uk/tracked-48). We generally dispatch all orders on the same day / day after receipt and Royal Mail tracked service usually takes 2 to 3 working days.
UK Special Delivery (next working day) We can offer ‘Royal Mail Special Delivery’ (next working day service for UK deliveries) for most orders at a cost of £14.95. If you require this service, please call us on 0131 477 3255 to process the order by telephone. This enables us to ensure that the item(s) are in stock and that the order makes its way to our dispatch team straight away.
European Postage All European deliveries (all Countries in the EU/ EEA) are charged at £14.95 – this is a fully tracked service using a ‘Tracked Service’ — SERVICE CURRENTLY SUSPENDED DUE TO BREXIT —
Rest of the World / International Postage Depending on destination international deliveries (i.e. not EU) are charged at £21.95 with the exception of Australia, New Zealand and also The United States of America (who dramatically increased USA prices in August 2020 🙁). These 3 destinations are charged at £24.95 for a ‘Signed for / Tracked’ mail service (max 2kg shipping weight for goods and the overall dimensions of package not to exceed 90 cm).
Pick up from Store / Click & Collect Remember if you’re a local customer, you can simply pay for your goodies online and then pick them up for ‘free’ when your next in town. Just select the ‘Collect from Store’ option when you purchase with us on-line. Our wonderful store is at 42 Victoria Street, Edinburgh, EH1 2JW.
Out of Stock Whilst we strive to ensure the accuracy of our website, there may be some occasions when we are ‘out of stock’ of a particular item. In such instances, we will advise you with an estimated delivery date, offer you an alternative (if possible) or give you a full refund of your purchase.
Customs Charges (EU / EEA and Rest of the World) Please note: The Red Door Gallery is not liable for any customs charges applicable in overseas countries. All prices are exclusive of VAT and you will be charged for your local VAT on the goods (i.e. relevant to the Country you live). We fill in a customs form and the customer is responsible for any customs charges due to the governing authority.
Standard Delivery /Timescales We ship most orders either the same day or day after receipt. Once dispatched, we will email you with ‘tracking information’ and to let you know the goods are on their way. Normal delivery timescales are as follows, although not guaranteed.
- UK – 2 to 4 working days
- European – 5 to 7 working days (may be longer due to Brexit transition issues)
- International / Rest of World – 7 to 10 working days

Returns & Exchanges: Damaged goods – In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, please contact us ‘immediately’ so that we can arrange a replacement. For insurance purposes, we also need to have photographic evidence of the damage to the product / the packaging and will also require the damaged goods and original packaging to be returned to us before we can ship a replacement to you.
Exchanges / Credit Note – Whilst we hope that you are delighted with your order, we understand that sometimes you may wish to return the goods. Please email us to let us know, post the item back within 14 days of receipt to our address below and we will gladly offer you an exchange, credit note or gift voucher. Please note, we are not able to offer exchanges for earrings. Please note that that you will be responsible for the cost of postage back to us. Please wrap the items very securely in original packaging and use insured / registered delivery, keeping the postal receipt in case of any damage in transit. We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged in transit.
