Edinbear Waverly is the punniest bear in town!
We have a beautiful, Victorian train station here in Edinburgh called Waverly Station, which is the main rail link from the capital city to the rest of the world. Waverly strikes a chord with Sir Walter Scott fans, who will be familiar with The Waverly Novels as well as the impact they had on Scottish Tourism. This Bear is here with another motive though, he’s a trainspotting bear!
Created by Mister Peebles for the “Crag & Tale” exhibition, for which we encouraged illustrators to look at Edinburgh from a different perspective. Curated by Nicky Brooks at the Red Door Gallery you can read more about this exhibition here.
