Found In The Forest 2
What did you see on your woodland walk? This unique screenprint features a collection of birds and beasts you might find in the forest, if you’re aware! The Jay bird will greet you entering the forest with its harsh caw, warning all of your arrival – birds and insects, butterflies and beetles. You might find a beautifully coloured fallen leaf on the ground, or see a fresh green sprig on the tree – berries, seeds and cones according to the season. Don’t tread on that slug! It’s only going about its life, doing its bit for the diversity and resilience of the wild forest.
This small screenprint (19 x 16 cm) is part of an ongoing Forest Series. It’s packed with original drawings of woodland wildlife, encouraging you to notice the diversity of nature when you’re out and about, or to remind you of the green fresh woodland air, the wind in the leaves, all the bustling rustling noises as all the creatures go about their business.
Catherine hand-prints these creatures and flowers on Zerkall Crème printmaking paper, in a limited but varied edition of 23. No two prints contain the same combination of animals, birds, flowers, berries, cones… This is really one of a kind!
