Healing Hands – Elsie Inglis

This beautiful lino print was created as part of a WW100 brief, a project by lateral north, spanning all 5 printmaking houses in Scotland, where 100 artists were invited to create a print and matrix commemorating stories from world war one. Seobhan was given the story of Elsie Inglis, a suffragist doctor who fought all her life to improve the health care for her female patients, both in Scotland and around Europe, especially in Serbia. She was an outstanding woman.

Image sits squarely within A3 sized paper – 297 mm x 420 mm
