This print was made by Seymour as the title poster to his exhibition 2010 exhibition here at The Red Door Gallery, The Adventures of the Antiquitarian. A showcase of Seymour’s original, black and white drawings, this sell-out show depicted characters the adventurer shown in this poster met on his journey. In 2011, Seymour released digital, colour prints of these characters which can also be seen here.

Seymour in the creative name Peter Kelk chooses to work under. Peter was born in New Zealand in 1981, he graduated in 2002 having studied illustration at Wanganui School of Design. He has spent time living in Vienna, Edinburgh and currently works from his studio in Berlin. He has exhibited with The Red Door Gallery since graduating. Inspired by curios, junk and lost & found objects, he is truly intrigued by the often overlooked. Each work created is intended to visually record the amalgamation of Renaissance styles, Victoriana and present day techniques.
