Roslyn is inspired by intriguing shape, form and colour; influenced by architecture, mechanics and mid-century design. She predominantly works with precious metals and linoleum. She creates fun, tactile, colourful and bold jewellery. A past graduate from DJCAD Dundee, she works from my home in Markinch, Scotland.
Linoleum is a wonderful, sustainable, warm material, made from easily renewable ingredients such as linseed oil, cork powder and other organic additives. It also contains natural anti-microbial properties. The material has manufacturing roots close to Roslyn’s home in Fife. Members of her family have worked in the local factories and offices which have supplied the world for over 140 years.
Each piece of my jewellery is carefully hand cut and finished with sterling silver findings. Items are presented in a gift box and packaged with minimal use of plastic.
