Damien also selected some of our real favourite Edinburgh spots to showcase in his City Guide, including the remarkable Brew Lab coffee shop. 
A big shout out to their Victoria Street Pop Up team – their faultless coffee is fuelling our festival! (mmm and justifying our pin badge collection)…
We also have a whole lotta love for the Dominion Cinema, the last independent picture house in Edinburgh with the finest service and flicks. 
The Dominion even has a small cinema for rent, so you can choose the film! Napoleon Dynamite anyone?
Our third and final highlight (it was tough to narrow the list down!) has to be a trip to Surgeon’s Hall Museum, we’ll leave this one up to Damien to describe: “This museum is like no other and in any case, it is not for the feint hearted! A huge collection of tools, artefacts and yes, preserved body parts, which together tell the history of dentistry, surgery and all things medical. Ranging from the time they used rocks to cure a toothache right up to the present day. A gentle reminder that living in the 21st century isn’t all that bad, actually”.
