Wes Anderson fans will be rejoicing with the arrival of AndSmile Studio; her quirky prints and brooches inspired by his great movies and pop culture are sure to make you smile!
Who is AndSmile Studio?
The lovely pink haired lady behind this great collection is Viktorija. Having always loved to draw and make things she took herself off to explore her love further and studied Illustration at the University of Bedfordshire.
After graduating Viktorija started Andsmile from her studio in London; as a means to sell her work as wearable illustrations.
She’s been making jewellery since 2012. Her brooches and earrings, all designed, drawn, hand cut, baked and made by hand in her cute little studio with lots of love and care!
Viktorija makes her jewellery from fun shrink plastic; so she really does bake it! Baked? we hear you cry, It’s to be admired for it’s quirky nature and we’re sorry but it can’t be eaten!!
What inspires Viktorija?
Well she has lots of imaginary friends that inspire her every day, popular culture, cute creatures, sunny days, coffee (we hear you sister!), stationary and of course the great Wes Anderson for his beautiful film sets and quirky characters.
The great Steve Zissou from Life Aquatic. Our lovely Red Door Customers are big fans!
When she needs a break from drawing and making, she can often be found in her favourite local coffee spot Otabe in South West London. She says they make the best coffee in the world with all the attention and love the great coffee bean deserves; Served alongside their delicious Matcha Cake! Sounds like our kind of coffee spot!
We’re glad she has decided to turn her love and passion into a career making her fun jewellery and prints for us all to enjoy!
