Arthur’s Seat A2 Print by KP

Arthur’s Seat is an ancient volcano that sits in the centre of the beautiful and historic city of Edinburgh. It looks over Holyrood Park and is climbed by thousands each year.

At 823ft Arthur’s Seat is classed as a Marilyn.

Each piece begins life as all of my work does, with pen and paper! Ordnance survey maps are used to create arial snap shots of each peak before the artist hand draws the linear skeleton of the mountain. Then, from here it’s all digital baby. After utilising my trusty high res scanner, they use software to colour the contours with a mix complimentary shades from my bespoke colour palette. This part can take time to get just right!

A2 prints are printed onto an uncoated heavyweight paper.
