Recharging – A3 Print by Sarah Kwan Artist

Wrapped comfortably in moss, the figure in this piece is recharging and nourishing themselves during a harsh season. Inspired by moss being used as mulch during the winter and often used as a protective covering to enrich the soil ready for Spring growth, this Giclee print taken from an original painting is a reminder to take care of ourselves and the importance of rest. So often we feel guilty for not being productive, the artist poses the idea that rest without guilt is in itself a gently rebellious act. This piece is a reminder to protect and enrich ourselves, connect to nature and to other people, so that we may have the strength and energy to navigate through harsh times.
