Alison Westwater-Johnston

Alison Westwater – Johnston is an artist and nature lover who is based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

She graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2017 and since then has been working in outdoor education.

Alison uses printmaking to translate many of her artistic ideas and is experienced in Lithography, Relief, Screen and intaglio. She loves to experiment with new techniques and often blurs the boundaries between print/sculpture.

She is interested in ephemeral art and often ventures to the beach or nearby woodland to create sculptures, take photographs or collect materials to use in her printmaking and drawing.

Many of the works you will find at Red Door are unique prints reflecting her love and interest in natural forms a landscapes.
