You have reached Destination Edinburgh – time for a whistle stop tour of the city through the eyes of one of our newest artist arrivals Adrian McMurchie. Beautiful studies of top town destinations created by an Edinburgh enthusiast with excellent illustration expertise. Royal MileThe Royal Mile by Adrian McMurchie mindfully captures the hubbub of people on The Mile and its entwining architecture. The Camera Obscurer can be seen in each section of this A4 print, giving a panoramic view from the top of The Mile.Carlton HillIf you want a great twilight perspective of Edinburgh then Calton Hill is the place to go. A beautiful view of cosy windows and sunset skies can be admired from upon one of its mid-city monuments. Calton Hill by McMurchie is definitely a nod towards those dusky evenings as night draws in and the cosy pubs around town fill up.

Victoria Street

A very recognisable street indeed – and one of Edinburgh’s most photographed! Victoria Street is regarded as one of the City’s most beautiful places and has inspired many budding artists, writers and directors. McMurchie has captured its unique vibrancy in this colourful print. And look, who’s that with the red door? It’s us The Red Door Gallery, ahoy there!

Scotts Monument

There are a fair few monuments in Edinburgh and one of the most popular is the Scott Monument in honour of Scottish author Sir Walter Scott. Sitting within Princes Street Gardens it offers fantastic views of the city. Just climb its spiral staircase of 288 stone steps to reach the top! This A4 Scott Monument print by McMurchie captures its imposing height and Victorian Gothic architecture.

Date In Dunbar

A little further afield from Edinburgh is the tranquil fishing town of Dunbar. A Date in Dunbar print by Mcmurchie captures the colours and charm of the harbour. A beautiful place to stroll and breathe in the sea air. Where Edinburgh can be viewed further along the coast and even a Seal can be spotted bobbing amongst the boats. A great day trip!

Enjoy Adrian Mcmurchie’s prints as excellent mementos of Edinburgh. Illustrated to capture the essence of popular destinations for you to keep as your own, and revisit whenever you wish! 🙂
