Ploterre

The Red Door Gallery has been supporting the work of Edinburgh printmaker, Rebecca Kaye since 2009. ‘Ploterre’ is a new project by Rebecca in which she uses environmental data to create a range of prints. Her designs are inspired by the natural world and underpinned by hard data. ‘Data’ is translated into visuals using a combination of mathematics, coding and design and the ‘Visuals’ are brought to life through traditional printing techniques. The purpose of her work is to unearth a world hidden in spreadsheets and bring this data to life through design!
