Healing Hands by Seobhan Hope is a beautiful lino print was created as part of a project by Lateral North, spanning all 5 printmaking houses in Scotland, where 100 artists were invited to create a print and matrix commemorating stories from world war one. Hope was given the story of Elsie Inglis, a suffragist doctor who fought all her life to improve the health care for her female patients, both in Scotland and around Europe. She was an outstanding woman and this is a wonderfully insightful print!
